  15. in modern European literature; in Zurich. Frequently mentioned
  16. as a contender for the Nobel Prize, Frisch created works that
  17. revolved around characters struggling for identity amid
  18. changing values and ideologies. His international literary
  19. reputation was firmly established with I'm Not Stiller (1954),
  20. Homo Faber (1959) and Andorra (1961). Before he took to
  21. full-time writing, Frisch practiced architecture and was a
  22. correspondent for newspapers in Europe and the Middle East.
